How does interracial dating not make you racist?

Author: I think it is one of most annoying and sensitive topics. I do not see how who you date proves you are not racist. I know plenty of white girls who date black men that hate black women. I knew white and mexican interracial couple that hated black people. No offensee interracial dating is one those things people do to prove their not NARROW-MINDED. It’s interesting plenty of people claim to be colorblind because they interracially date yet most of them would not date a particular race.

yeah I see what you mean. you see lots of people saying "I’m not racist! look at my (whatever race) bf/gf!", but yet they bash that race when their significant other isn’t around. it’s sad, but you do have people like that. I’m personally not and never was a racist. racism is wrong
No one said interracial dating makes you non-racist. Racism is a state of mind.
It’s the same double standard as "oh you’re racist "no i am not my best friend is black"
In all simplicity interracial dating doesn’t exempt
you from being racist

The most common racist comments I hear are about their own race….Like I knew a white guy who would always be like "white girls have no bodies"

maybe theyre with someone because they truly like them. ever thought of that? i dont date white men, and im white. does this mean im racist again my own people? nope. not anymore then me dating hispanic men means im secretly racist against them.
people can date whoever, and its none of anyones business why they do it. you shouldnt look so far into their intentions.

If you are not dating the person because of race you are not racist. My boyfriend is Asian, but I’ve dated black, white, Latino, and bi-racial guys too. I’m dating my boyfriend because he is who he is. If he had the exact same personality and he were black I would date him just as quickly. I do not impose dating limitations on myself based on race, in my mind a hot guy is a hot guy and if we’re attracted to each other there’s no reason not to date. I am not trying to prove anything because I don’t really care what people think. My relationships are my business.

although i agree that you can be with a person of a different color and still be racist………..i certainly dont believe that this is always the case. i would hate to think i married a black woman and stayed with her for 11 years just to prove a point. dang……talk about taking it to another level…..lol. i am serious about making my point.
I completely agree. I know a asian guy that dates a mixed black girl but hates dark skin black girls…wtf right?! One of my white friends dated a mixed black guy and also hated dark skin black guys. This does happen often.
True true…but to not have a preference of race is naive in its own sense. People will often have a preference. Some races appeal to some races. For example, a beautiful chinese woman may not have the desired features for a german man…but that doesnt mean that the german man is racist.

no all are narrow minded .. it depends upon persons to persons not al the time all are narrow minded. SOme likes interracial dating and some not. So can’t be said confirmly.
