I want to join a dating site but am afraid of what’s out there. I would like to meet a quality person for a long term relationship. Any suggestions on ones you’d recommend? Am in Los Angeles if that makes a difference. I had put up a nice one on Craigslist but got some immature responses.

You know, on myspace and facebook, there is a distinction between looking for "dating" and "a relationship." I just want to know the difference. Because seriously, when you ask a girl out on a date, doesnt she assume you want a relationship? Because, if not, then she should not be mad when you break up with her and just say that you were just interested in dating. Basically what is the purpose of dating if you aren’t interested in a long term relationship? someone is going to get hurt in the end.
